The Nevada County Branch of AAUW has a Local Scholarship Trust from which the following awards are granted annually:
 | $1,000 to a graduating senior girl from Nevada Union High School |
| $1,000 to a graduating senior girl from Bear River High School |
| $500 to a girl from Sierra College who plans to earn a Bachelor's
Degree |
| $500 to a woman to resume her interrupted education toward a Bachelor's
Degree |
| Four $500 Tech Trek scholarships to 8th
grade girls to attend a one-week math/science camp at Stanford. Read

| Sister to Sister Fund gave $100 grants to Ashley St. Germain, Nevada
Union H.S. and Katie Merrill, Bear River H.S. From time to time various other awards or grants may be given. For example, in 2000 a grant of $500 was made to a woman pursuing a master's degree in science. Funding for these awards/grants is obtained from individual contributions, bequests, and various fundraising activities throughout the year. |
