AAUW consists of three entities each represented by one of the triangles of the logo:

the Association, an organization with more than 1,600 branches nationwide that lobbies and advocates for education and equity;

the Educational Foundation, which funds pioneering research on girls and education, community action projects, and fellowships and grants for outstanding women around the globe;

the Legal Advocacy Fund, which provides funds and a support system for women seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination in higher education.

The Nevada County Branch is one of  170  branches in California. There are 25,000 members of California AAUW plus another 6,000 At-large Association members residing in California. There are 160,000 members of AAUW in the United States.
