Nevada City Anglers offers
a Lower Yuba Drift Trip for 2 anglers in comfortable and
well equipped drift boats. We put-in at the highway 20 bridge and drift through over 5 miles of
river to our take-out at the Deguere diversion dam. You will be
fishing the prime water on the lower Yuba with stops to wade particularly
good stretches of water. Lunch is provided and we stop to eat
and fish at some beautiful areas where hawks and the occasional
eagle has been seen soaring over the river. You will learn some
highly effective presentations and have the opportunity to get into
some stout Yuba river rainbows and
steelhead (when they are in the river). The cost of a float
trip is $400 for one or two anglers. Our drift boats can comfortably
accommodate up to 2 anglers and additional boats for larger parties
can be scheduled for $400/boat. Book now for fall Salmon and
Steelhead runs.

Tom is the instructor for our Beginning Fly-fishing classes.
Tom guides on the North Fork of the Yuba River, the lower Yuba, and
the local creeks and lakes. His friendly attitude and patience
make him an ideal guide for those just starting out and his knowledge
and expertise can help the most accomplished fisherman become even

Walk and wade trips on the Lower Yuba, North Fork of the Yuba, Truckee
River, Little Truckee, and local creeks are also available. Enjoy a
half-day with one of our expert guides for $175 for one angler and $250
for two anglers. You will learn where to find the fish, the proper
flies to
use, and the most effective presentations. Then you can take these
new
skills and put them to the test on some of our terrific local waters.
A full day with one of guides walking and wading is available for $250
for one angler and $325 for two anglers. We provide lunch and
will show you
some great areas to fish. While with our guides, you can tune up
your
casting with a lesson on the water. All of our guides are expert
casters
and can help you to improve each time out. Private casting lessons
are
also available.
