Truckee River.  The truckee River is now open from Trout Creek down to the State line and also the Little Truckee between Stampede Res. and Boca Res. is now open. Please check DF&G Regulations Booklet for special regs governing these two streams. Current conditions very cold and lots of snow. In order to fish the Little Truckee between Stampede and Boca you will need a snow mobile and or snow shoes or cross country skis. Once on the stream you can expect to see some blue wing olives and midges hatching. The main Truckee has been producing some fish in the Glenshire Drive area and at Hirschdale.
