Consulting engineer for local and remote (via telecommuting) engineering groups and small companies in the area of windows Applications and GUI development.This entailed configuration GUIs for video control systems as well as control and monitoring windows applications.
1988-1995
Sr. Electronic Design Eng./Project Manager, Grass Valley Group.
Involved in design of new high-speed digital telecommunication equipment and systems. Technologies and equipment used included ASIC design, EPLD's FPGA's, Intel and Motorola 8-16-32 bit micros, and PC based and SUN based CAD/CAE tools. Department Management/Project management/Project Engineer on mid-sized projects carried out in a team environment (core team with cross-functional support teams).
1986 - 1987
Manager Software/Hardware Development, Nyhart Engineering.
Responsible for writing and maintaining all software for new and established products. System architect for all new product development. Deeply involved from concept through manufacturing of medical, communication, test and exercise equipment. Directly responsible for supervision of all technical and technical support personnel in development group.
1984 - 1985
Software/Hardware Design Engineer, Grass Valley Group.
As a consultant, wrote real-time, interrupt-driven software for use in sophisticated video switcher systems. Located and eliminated software bugs for continuing engineering. Analyzed hardware/software interfaces for problem areas.
1974 - 1984
Electronic Design Engineer, ATARI, Sunnyvale, Ca.
R&D Engineer on many of the products and systems Atari was known for. Wrote critical software for animation in Pizza Time Theater. Designed hardware and software for many microprocessor-based products. On design team for Atari's most sophisticated multiprocessor and distributed processor games.
