5 Boats came out for Race
date #1 (March 29)
A full lake, lots of wind, clear skies
and great racing
The 2003 Spring Season kicked off with a full Scotts Flat Lake
and beautiful sailing conditions!
New GCYC member Greg DeGruccio on his Catalina 22 Jolly
Roger, out for the first time of SFL racing.
Another officially classified "silver fleet" competitor
(novice, under 2 years racing),
Jeff Lund on his San Juan 26 Brooke
Just off the start line of race 2: Kudzu near the
pin, CP22-183 near the RC with Williwaw
on his hip.
A few minutes later and Kudzu stretches it lead...
...and crosses CP22-183 a bit after this shot was
taken, getting to the first mark first...
...and going on to win the second race (but CP22-183
won the other two races).
It was a great day for "looking good" on the water
as Jolly Roger does just that in this G. Frank Nin
