The Grass Valley 4 Wheelers participate in activities that preserve our natural resources. Through the Adopt A Trail program sponsored by the Tahoe National Forest, the club has chosen the Snake Lake Hill trail as our adopted trail. We periodically inspect the trail's condition and make needed repairs. As soon as weather has granted access to the trail, the club will clear any downed trees and brush, repair erosion from the spring thaw, and make any improvements necessary for safe travel through the trail. Periodically throughout the summer, the club will inspect the trail's general condition and make repairs as they are needed. Should there be any indicators of off trail abuse by inconsiderate drivers, the damaged surface will be repaired.

The Grass Valley 4 Wheelers are a firm supporter of Tread Lightly!, an organization dedicated to preserving our country's wilderness areas. The members exercise caution to stay on designated trails, follow campfire regulations determined by the Forest Service, and camp in established campsites while on trips.

All of our outdoor activities promote conservation of our wilderness areas. Through responsible use of existing trails and campsites, and measures to repair damage, our natural resources will be protected for enjoyment by future generations.
