Have a hot, nutritious, noon-time meal with friends and soon-to-be-friends at the Grass Valley Senior Center. We serve Monday through Friday to any person 60 years of age or older.

A suggested donation of $1.99 per meal helps to maintain and continue the program. Your donation goes directly to our nutrition program to help meet food costs and maintain service. The actual cost of a meal served at the Senior Center is about $5.00.

Please call and make reservations, or cancellations, a day in advance at (916) 273-4961. Or you can leave a message with our voice mail at 478-7375. Only the number of meals ordered will be prepared each day.

Can't get out to join us, much as we'd love to have you? Maybe we can bring your lunch to you. The home-delivered meals program is a part of High Noon Nutrition's services. Home-delivered meals are generally available to those who are age 60 or over, living alone or with an elderly spouse, and are home-bound and unable to cook or shop for themselves. Currently home-delivered meals serves communities within the areas of Nevada City, Grass Valley, Cedar Ridge, Penn Valley, Alta Sierra and Lake of the Pines. Like our Senior Center lunches, home-delivered Meals are served Monday through Friday at midday. The suggested donation for home-delivered meals is the same as for lunches served at the Senior Center, $1.99 per meal. Since the actual cost of a home-delivered meal is close to $6.00, the availability of home-delivered meals may be affected by the amount of our funding.

For those of you, young and old, who have some get-up-and-go to spare, consider volunteer service at the Senior Center or In the home-delivered meals program. We work with RSVP ( Retired Senior Volunteer Program), and we can always use a helping hand or a friendly driver.

Additional Financial Support is received from
