News, Fall/Winter 1998 |
This year was my fifth Rally, and I have yet to be disappointed. On information overload when I leave, it takes weeks to absorb all that is presented in four very intense days. I not only learn about new legal aspects of conservation, but I get to talk to others in the same field from all parts of the United States.
I used to hope that I would someday glean the "magic bullet" from someone wiser and more advanced than we are that piece of information that would allow us to propel our fundraising efforts into the stratosphere or automatically make conservation and recreation projects just happen in our county. Like so much in life, though, it all boils down to caring enough to work hard for what you believe in.
That defines us. The Nevada County Land Trust we believe in the benefits of open space and land conservation and are working hard every day to make it happen here.
