Member Tours

Last year we began a series of member tours of our NCLT projects. The tours gave us the chance to introduce our members to the many projects their support has helped bring about. It was a great chance to meet more of our members, and answer their questions.

"This is the way I like to present our projects—directly to the very members who make our work possible," explained executive director Cheryl Belcher. "Some of the sites are wildlife preserves and not open to the public except on these special tours, so I hope we will get a good turnout."

The tours will run from 5:30 to 6:30 PM on Wednesday evenings. Space is limited so please call the office, 265-0430, if you would like to attend.

The schedule is:

May 12 - Burton Park in Nevada City;
June 9 - Mathis Pond and our new Hangtree Trail site in Alta Sierra;
July 14 - Peardale Bird Sanctuary in Peardale.

We will also have a special tour of the newly expanded Litton Trail at our Trails Appreciation Day on September 26, starting at 10:30 AM and a special tour of the Round Mountain Project for our new Business Members on Sunday, April 25.

Please call the Land Trust office at 265-0430 if you would like more information or to sign up for one of these member outings.
