Membership Luncheon

NCLT Board members Molly Callaham and Beth Donnelly give a warm welcome to luncheon attendees.

The Land Trust’s third annual membership luncheon, held at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City, attracted 114 interested area residents eager to learn more about the Land Trust’s activities over the past year.

In addition to outstanding food by Perfect Menu catering of Nevada City, participants were treated to a hands-on demonstration of the powers of GIS, or Geographic Information System, technology.

Diana Carolan, GIS specialist at the County, demonstrated how the system works and how its powerful information-plotting tools can be used to assist the efforts of groups like the Land Trust.

And, thanks to a spectacular slideshow by NCLT Board member Andy Cassano, everyone is now up-to-speed on the Land Trust’s newest projects (see map on page 3 for more information on Land Trust projects).
