thin air. We'll be especially looking for fairy shrimp, an ancient order of crustaceans
only found in seasonal pools. We will also be doing a survey of endangered yellow-legged
frogs. This will be a vigorous hike of about 6 miles, all above 5,000 feet. Randy Oliver is an amateur naturalist with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a M.S. in Fisheries Biology. He leads stream surveys and nature walks for various environmental groupps. His lively teaching style and love of the subject should make this a memorable day for all.
