Experience the
history of the building of the Transcontinental Railroad on this interactive weekend
hosted by Bill Gallaher at Hidden
Lakes Sierra Education Center (200 acres in the Yuba Gab area). Your leader, Al Louie,
who is of Chinese descent is writing a book on the Chinese and their life building the
railroad. Relive some of these historical events and
hear fascinating stories like The 10,000 Dollar Bet. Visit significant Chinese
sites like Bloomers Cut, Cape Horn and the China Wall and Summit Tunnel. See part of
the original RR and the remains of an old round house at Upper Cisco.
This trek includes your stay at the Hidden Lakes lodge
(camp or sleep dorm style), all meals are provided, swimming and boating, hot showers and
