This trek will be led by Alan Stahler, a
columnist for The Union and host of KVMR’s Soundings. We will begin at Mathis Pond, one of the land trust’s projects on Dog Bar Road. From there we will be welcomed at a nearby private residence where there is clear visibility of the night sky. Alan will point out the basic constellations that are visible on this night and show how to use them as skymarks. There will be stories, myths and anecdotes about the stars passed down from times gone by. Hearty snacks and beverages will be served. |
