| For low-cost spay/neuter assistance, contact the Animal Spay and Neuter Clinic in Auburn at 530-889-8800. The Nevada County Shelter is giving out spay/neuter certificates to Nevada County residents. They can be reached by calling 530-273-2179. For Sacramento residents, go to Sacramento Area Animal Coalition. If you're looking to adopt a great cat or dog, Petfinder.com and 1-800-Save-A-Pet and Pets 911 have lots of wonderful pets looking for homes. And, the Grass Valley Animal Shelter and the Nevada County Animal Shelter have great pets for adoption. The Grass Valley Animal Shelter is on Freeman Lane, down the street from Raleys. Their phone number is 530-477-4630. They are open 11-1 and 3-5 Mon - Fri and 9-11 Sat. The Nevada County Animal Shelter is on McCourtney Road, right before the dump -- if you are traveling from Grass Valley. Their phone number is 530-273-2179. They are open 1-4 Mon through Sat. |
